In the department Lead Discovery in Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development, we generate molecular insights and drive the discovery of starting points for our small molecule drug discovery projects with our high-quality proteins, cellular models, assays and drug samples. We treat data as our primary product and thus enable the successful optimization of these targets in medicinal chemistry. We are looking for a temporary member of our Compound Library Enhancement and Logistics (CLEL) team at the Innovation Center in Basel, Switzerland, to work on solid samples as part of a team of three. Tasks Produce plates and tubes with small molecule solutions on automated robotic systems for compound logistics (e.g. New Library Additions and internal Refill Processes) Handle sample data along the production process Troubleshoot process when necessary and ensure high-quality delivery of material Support daily business activities in compound logistics (weigh-outs, sample preparation) as needed, in addition to previous tasks Must haves Finished apprenticeship as laboratory technician (Chemistry, Biology), in Engineering or Automation, or Bachelor/Master degree in relevant areas Min. 2 years professional experience in laboratory work handling of chemical compounds and solutions in  research or production Experienced in operating laboratory robotic liquid handlers Ability to accurately follow laboratory best practices, defined standard operating procedure (SOPs) and protocols Good IT knowledge for systems used in the laboratory running  (laboratory inventory management systems) Very good German language and a good knowledge of English language Reliable, resilient, responsible, adaptable Technical affinity Able to identify quality problems in productions and fix them Good documentation skills Flexibility, ability to grasp quickly new topics, understand problems and work under pressure Good communication and team player skills, but also the ability to work independently Cooperation in an interdisciplinary and intercultural team Are you interested?
