Become a Laboratory Engineer responsible for handling laboratory equipment, implementing and maintaining a quality system, and conducting safety, functional, and EMC testing on lighting components and products. This role requires a university degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, knowledge of measurement instruments, and excellent analytical and communication skills. You'll work in a collaborative, supportive team environment within a global organization.
Responsibilities
Handling of laboratory equipment for safety, functional and EMC testing Implementing and maintaining a laboratory quality system according to ISO 17025 Accompany product changes and custom product development in terms of safety, functional and EMC Conduct measurements and testing on lighting components and products and document the results for legal authorities and test houses for achieving safety marks like ENEC, UL,. Analysis of project documentation (e.g. datasheet, schematic, drawings, specifications,...) Use laboratory measurement equipment and other tools specific for verifying devices. Run automated test processes and follow their execution. Regular communication, collaboration and exchange with other laboratories in the group and establishing cooperation with external independent test houses Support actively the build-up of cross-site development teams, support CPD+PSM projects in others sites Assist with the completion of competency audits, test method validations, proficiency tests, internal audits as required in order to meet the QMS requirements. Good housekeeping of lab area and equipment, and always a safety first attitude Continuous improvement of laboratory test process and test automation Complete final test reports that are sent to customers to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness
Skills & Experience
University degree in Electrical or electronic engineering Knowledge of measuring equipment and instruments (Oscilloscopes, Multimeter, Power Supply, etc.) Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of electrical devices Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills (English) Very good analytical skills Able to contribute in global projects, team player Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, often with incomplete information, to arrive at a root cause Able to juggle several projects at the same time and prioritize as necessary Willingness to travel Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
